Data You Give Us Directly
Search Queries
A name or birth date entered into a search tool is sent directly to the outside provider operating that tool. The provider processes the query and supplies its results; we do not retain or record those search terms on our systems.
Messages and Contact Submissions
We retain an email you send long enough to review and answer it. It remains within our organization unless disclosure is required by a valid legal obligation.
Data We Gather Automatically
Our servers automatically receive basic technical information when a page loads:
- Page-view times and the pages visited
- Your device category and operating system
- The referring website, when one is available
- Your device's IP address
- Time spent on individual pages
- Browser type and version
Cookies and Analytics
Cookies are small files placed on a device that help us understand traffic patterns, including popular pages and where visits end. Analytics providers combine that usage data for us. You may block cookies through your browser, although doing so can change how parts of the website function.
What We Do With This Data
- Diagnosing errors and other technical problems
- Operating the website and maintaining its performance
- Routing queries to the applicable search partner
- Understanding which pages are useful and which need improvement
- Displaying advertising that may reflect visitor interests
No Warrant Data on File
We do not host, maintain, compile, or sell a warrant database or personal warrant-record files. Talbot County guidance identifies official routes such as the Sheriff's Office and the issuing courts; Georgia does not provide a single public statewide warrant search. We are not a consumer reporting agency under the Fair Credit Reporting Act, and visitor information is not assembled into consumer reports or third-party dossiers.
Third-Party Search Partners
Search boxes on this site are powered by outside companies. Anything you enter into those tools is processed under the partner's own privacy policy, not this one. Those partners set their own data-retention and sharing practices, and we do not control them. Review the partner's policy before submitting a search.
Links to Other Websites
Throughout the site we link to sheriff's office pages, court portals, statewide warrant systems, legal aid groups, and third-party search tools. Clicking any of those links takes you off our site. At that point, their privacy policy governs your visit. Read it before sharing any personal details.
Certain advertising partners may track your activity across sites to show targeted ads. That tracking runs on their systems, not ours.
Who Might See Your Data
We do not sell personal data. Some information may end up with:
- Search partners that handle queries you run on our site
- Analytics services we use to track traffic and performance
- Ad networks that place ads on our pages
- Law enforcement or government bodies when a valid legal order requires it
How We Protect Your Data
We follow standard security practices to safeguard the data we collect. But nothing connected to the internet is bulletproof. We do what we can to keep your information secure, though we cannot promise a breach will never happen.
Users Under 18
This site is meant for adults. We do not knowingly gather personal information from anyone under 18. If you think a minor has shared data with us, reach out and we'll delete it right away.
Your Data Rights
Rights concerning personal data may depend on the law where you live. The Georgia Open Records Act, O.C.G.A. §§ 50-18-70 et seq., governs access to qualifying records held by Georgia public agencies, but it is not presented here as a general consumer privacy statute or as a source of rights against this private website. You may ask us to:
- Ask for a copy of what we have on file about you
- Have us fix information that is wrong
- Request that we erase your data
- Opt out of certain kinds of data processing
Updates to This Policy
We may change this privacy policy down the road. When we do, the updated version goes up on this page with a new effective date. Check back if you want to keep tabs on how we handle your information.
Effective date: September 10, 2026
